If the cardiovascular equipment is compatible with GymKit, using Apple watch with Peloton bike is easy.
Option 1: The Apple GymKit
We will utilize the Apple Gym Kit to monitor our exercise closely. As you know, the Apple’s GymKit is integrated into Peloton’s Bike+. To begin an exercise course or challenge, all you have to do is hold your Apple Watch (Series 2 or later) above the screen on the Bike+ to link the two.
Using your Apple Watch’s heart rate monitoring system, the Bike+ displays your real-time heart rate on the Bike+’s display, used to calculate your Strive Score.
Your Apple Watch will notify you when the exercise session is over. And, all the results throughout your workout are displayed on your iPhone’s Activity app and the Peloton Digital app.
It’s important to take note that bicycle Bootcamps are incompatible with GymKit. However, for most typical cycles like Arms and Intervals, you can use your Apple Watch as a heart rate monitor on Bike+ thanks to the GymKit connection.

- Step 4: Toggle on ‘Detect Gym Equipment’

- Step 6: Tap ‘Start’
- Step 7: Hold the Apple Watch to the display’s topmost area

Step 1: Enable Your Watch’s GymKit
The Apple Watch connects to exercise machines via Gymkit, meaning we will see the workout equipment for connecting when opening the workout app.
